Damsels on da Tube

Winter is upon us. No longer can we leave work with the sun out and optimism for the evening. No more sweaty guys on a packed train (actually that’s all year round), no more requests from silly girls to come out for a picnic or join their friends in the park for games (get the message luv he doesn't like you he loves your body), no more sunglasses (except for stupid boys who wear them to raves and keep tripping up on shoes), no more calls from friends to go have a kick about after work (you see ladies this is the only thing we want to do in the park, in daylight anyway) and most of all.... no more ladies in short skirts and shorts to offer a stressed out workman the timely relief of eye candy. All of a sudden all the pretty ladies have gone off to Mars and have left us with snotty women with colds and ladies who you think are pregnant but actually realise, far too late, that they just love Pies.

JOLLY RANCHERS

I couldn’t believe the tall tall tales
When I hear yesterday there were snowstorms in Wales
I laughed at the fact that they aint coming hear
But this Is Grey Britain so I better beware
First time it snowed in October in 70 years!
The autumn has past and the winter is here
So briefly before the leaves had turned brown
And they’re swept up daily as they fall to the ground
But I look outside right now and the trees nearly bare
We just finished summer - come on this isn’t fair!
The days are much shorter – darkness when I leave work
Long scrapping in the mornings – but I wont go berserk
Coz Christmas is filled with Candy and Cake
So my spirits arent broken as the Candy wont break
Sweet Candy Deliveries thru our longest season of the Year
So bring it on winter coz the CANDY CORP is here!
